I purchased a Jugs Soft Toss machine so I could train with it, but what I didn’t expect was that I would initially be confused about how to charge it. I thought I plugged it in correctly, but I had no idea if it was charging. How do you charge a Jugs Toss machine?
To charge a Jugs Toss machine, plug the round end of the charging cord into the top of the Jugs Toss machine and insert the plug into an outlet. It will take roughly 12 hours to fully charge, but the machine does not have battery indicators to let you know when it’s charging or when it’s done charging.

Having no battery indicators threw me for a loop because I’m so used to other devices having one. So I threw together this very short, three-step guide to help anyone else who had the same problem I had – how to know if your Jugs Soft Toss machine is charging.

3 Steps To Charging Your Jugs Soft Toss Machine
The good news for people who own a Jugs Toss machine is that it’s extremely easy to charge. The bad news is that it initially seems complicated because there are no indicators that let you know if you’re doing it correctly.
Let’s get into the 3 simple steps to charge your Jugs Toss machine.
Step 1: Plug the Round End of the Charging Cord Into the Top of the Jugs Toss Machine

A charger should be included with your purchase of a Jugs Soft Toss machine.
Take the small, round end of the charger and plug it into the charging hole located on top of the Jugs Toss machine.
The good news is there is only one hole at the top of the machine so you can’t miss it.
Step 2: Insert the Plug Into an Outlet

After the round end of the charger is connected to your Jugs Toss machine, take the plug and insert it into an outlet.
At this point, your Jugs Soft Toss machine should be charging, but there are no battery indicators to let you know if it’s charging or how much battery is left.
Because you’ll have no idea if the machine is charging, you should first make sure your outlet is working by plugging in some other device into the outlet and making sure that charges.
You’d hate to think you’ve been charging your Jugs Toss machine for hours, but then find out your outlet was never working.
Step 3: Leave the Jugs Soft Toss Machine Charging for 12 Hours

According to the Jugs’ manual I received with my machine, it takes 12 hours of charging time before the battery is fully charged.
When fully charged, your Jugs machine should be able to run for 8 hours, but Jugs still recommends charging it for 12 hours to get a full battery.
Jugs also recommends charging your machine for 24 hours once a month to help extend the life of your battery.
In my opinion, you’ll also want to use your own judgment as to how long you should charge your machine.
If you only used it once for 15 minutes then there’s no real benefit to charging it for 12 hours. If your team used it at practice for a few hours then you’ll probably benefit from charging your machine for the full 12 hours.
Since I’m the only one using my machine, I’ll use it for about 2-3 hours total (over the course of a few days) before charging it again. And I’ll just leave my Jugs machine charging all night. So far this strategy seems to work pretty well for me.
There Are No Battery Indicators On a Jugs Soft Toss Machine
In my opinion, having no battery indicators is one of the most frustrating parts of owning a Jugs Soft Toss machine. Every device I own that needs to be charged will have a battery indicator, but not my Jugs Soft Toss machine.
However, I still love using my machine and I highly recommend a Jugs Soft Toss machine for anyone looking to get in some batting practice by themselves.
Just be sure to keep in mind how long you’ve used your machine and whether or not you think your machine needs to be charged.
How Long Does the Battery Last on a Jugs Soft Toss Machine?

The battery on a Jugs Soft Toss machine will run for 8 hours of continuous use.
However, I’ve read some reviews that say their battery only lasted for about 6 hours. So as a general rule, a Jugs Soft Toss machine will run for roughly 6-8 hours before needing to be charged again.
